  • Of Course I'm Allergic (Autoimmune) with Michelle
Send us a textWomen's Health Mini Series: When it comes to women's health, women are overall truly dismissed. 1 out of every 2 women have reported their pain being dismissed by doctors. Women are expected to go through procedures such as IUD insertion without being medicated. Women are dismissed easily when it comes to weight gain, irregular periods, mysterious pain... and a ton of it is chocked up to our age and hormone changes. Yes, our hormone levels fluctuate throughout the month based on simple things like our cycles, however, there is more to it than that. Most of the time, there are underlying issues to why we are in pain... to why we are having irregular periods... to why we are gaining weight. We must stop the cycle of being dismissed as a whole. As Michelle says, "The only way we are going to do that is by making noise". Michelle's autoimmune diseases sound dreadful. I can't believe one person can go through so much. 15 million people suffer from autoimmune diseases. I know every person goes with their own stuff in their own way. I just couldn't imagine dealing with this on a daily basis with children, caretaking for a parent, and a full time job. Listen and learn from Michelle!Be sure to subscribe to TABOOBS POD wherever you get your podcasts! If you enjoyed today's episode, please be sure to leave a 5 star review!
