The Call of Cthulhu, by H.P. Lovecraft

    08/03/2026 | 1h 20 mins.
On this, the 5th anniversary of the podcast I read a special, slightly longer story than usual.
In H.P. Lovecraft's archetypal tale of cosmic horror, the narrator describes how after finding a number of unusual items in his late uncle's belongings he discovers details of a series of increasingly disturbing events. Further investigation reveals evidence of an ancient horror lying deep beneath the Pacific and the terrible realisation that there are still those in the world that may be affected by its malevolent influence.

The Body Snatcher, by Robert Louis Stevenson

    18/01/2026 | 47 mins.
A chance encounter in a country inn reveals the history of two old men with a dark past. Whilst medical students in the city of Edinburgh many years ago the pair were involved in an illicit and grisly trade that culminated in one terrifying night where the consequences of their actions were visited upon them in a most ghastly fashion.
