Sherlock Holmes Bedtime Stories

Holmes has a hunch in the case of the murder of Sir Eustace Brackenstall, so it's back to the Abbey Grange for him and Watson, as they investigate further. The clues are there, and it's up to Holmes to put them together. Once he does, Holmes leaves a hint for Inspector Stanley Hopkins, while working on verifying the truth of the matter himself. As he suspected, the case has more to it than is readily apparent, and only Holmes is capable of figuring out the whole story. It's a bitterly cold winter night, and Dr. Watson is jarred out of his slumber by an eager Holmes, who has a new case for the pair. Holmes has gotten a telegram from Inspector Stanley Hopkins of Scotland Yard, calling him down to Sydenham to help investigate the murder of Sir Eustace Brackenstall. An interview with his widow, Lady Brackenstall, suggests that the murder is the result of a burglary gone wrong. But a further examination of the crime scene has convinced Holmes that there's more here than meets the eye, and he is determined to uncover the truth. Though tonight's case may have started with a rude awakening, it's the perfect companion to help you drift into a night of soft and restful slumber.

Sherlock Holmes has a new case to solve, and it's one that will take him into one of the few domains with which he is unfamiliar: that of amateur sport. Holmes and Watson have been approached by Mr. Cyril Overton, of the rugby union team at Trinity College, Cambridge, about one of their star players who has gone missing: three-quarter Godfrey Staunton. The young man disappeared from his hotel last night after receiving a mysterious telegram, and Overton is desperate to get him back. Adding a wrinkle to the matter is the fact that Staunton is the heir to one of the richest men in England, Lord Mount-James. Though Holmes is not a man for amateur sport, there's still no one better to determine what could have happened to the missing three-quarter. As the investigation begins, let it soothe your mind and carry you off into a night of warm and peaceful slumber.
