Holmes, Watson, and Lestrade are all off to investigate the case of the smashed busts of Napoleon, and the mysterious murder associated with them. While Lestrade is able to discover the identity the murdered man, Holmes and Watson gather more information about the busts. It's enough to set a trap and nab the culprit in the act. Inspector Lestrade has stopped by Baker Street with a new case for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. At first, it seems more up Watson's alley than Holmes's, as it may be a case of madness - someone has been smashing busts of Napoleon around London. In an effort to stop the villainous blackmailer Charles Augustus Milverton, Holmes and Watson set off on a nighttime adventure. Their plan is to burgle his home, and steal the incriminating papers from his safe, in order to stop him from inflicting harm on Holmes's client. Charles Augustus Milverton is the worst man in London, at least according to Sherlock Holmes. The man is an unrepentant blackmailer, whose only goal is to inflict as much harm on his targets as possible. Holmes's latest client, Lady Eva Blackwell, has hired him to negotiate a deal with Milverton to avoid the release of some imprudent letters before her impending marriage. Unfortunately for Holmes, Milverton's not interested in making a deal, which means Holmes will have to resort to more extreme (and duplicitous) methods.
