- Welcome back dear listener, its us, same bat time, same bat channel. Heres hoping the sun hasn't reduced you all to puddles of sweaty mess. This week we don our vests and knotted handkerchief headwear to discuss epic new indie classics and grail purchases (Danny) and spins of baggy classics and prog metal (Simon). Heads up, Simon gets to excitedley use his new jingle. Give the boy some. Our feature is on Faith No More's long gestated comeback album "Sol Invictus" - how does it hold up some 11 years later? Turns out its a polarizing one! We end with the usual whinging and whining you'd normally expect from pensioners. Thanks for stopping by, help yourself to a calippo out the freezer. This weeks episode is brung to you from 1982. ADIOS! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
- Ola! Greetings once again from BHYHIOV towers where we have offically melted into puddles of shellac and human bone, god bless the british summertime. Amongst that dramatic setting we have created a mega packed episode for you this time around! We talk massive, MASSIVE much needed reissues from those lovely Megadeth chaps, as well as a surprise reissue from those equally lovely (but much, much scarier) Down fellows. We get proper into the albums themselves, before dissecting the physical releases. Elsewhere, amongst the chaos of last minute hospital visits (trust me, you need to listen!) and much needed alcohol consumption, we manage to spin new and old purchases from the likes of Deep Purple, Paradise Lost and Frank Black. We also manage to end the show with a good old whinge at a perrenial "welcome outstayer" act from the 90s. Its a roller coaster of an episode - bring sun tan lotion and beer. Ciao. This episode is brung to you from 1981. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
- Cari amici, come diavolo? We come bearing gifts, notably an anniversarial (is that a word? it is now) re-evaluation of David Bowies last will and testament "blackstar" now a decade old, which means the man left us 10 years ago - wheres the time gone? But we're getting ahead of ourselves (i ramble, whats new there?) - we open up with talk of new acquisitions by jazz legends, noise rock heroes, bonafide Gods, and returning inde rock outfits. The we finish up with thoughts on new singles and posthumous releases, with a bit of a grumble. So essentially another fun packed episode for you vinyl fans to get your teeth into. Feast my pretties, feast! This episode is brung to you from 1980.

This week we're all about the Alice in Chains self titled super duper boxset that finally landed a mere 6 months after the order was placed (not that we're bitter) - we'll be discussing the merits of the album itself 30 years on from its release as well as a bells & whistles review of the box set - worth the cost and wait? Listen to find out! We also talk about new releases from Social Distortion (woohoo!) and Sepultura (hmmm...), yet another reissue from the Swami John camp, and a few random buys we've made since last time. We wrap it all up with a chat about new Anthrax & Deep Purple as well as Neil Young reissues. Thanks for dropping by, see you on the other side. This weeks episode is brung to you from 1979.... - Welcome back once again dear listener to (hopefully) your favourite vinyl podcast! This week we open up with a chat about recent buys - its been a good week for post punk and old school classic rock - including the new (final?) At The Gates album and the latest Descendents reissue. We also focus on a new shop! The feauture is an idea we've had knocking about for a while pitting overrated albums vs underrated albums from a bands catalogue, stay tuned if you're an Anthrax or Iron Maiden fan. We close up in less ranty fashion than usual with a discussion on Godflesh, Beastie Boys, and the latest in the Metallica reissue campaign. Grab a coffee and enjoy. This week is brung to you from the year 1979. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
