  • Introducing: The Harbingers
The Harbingers is a modern fantasy podcast about the first two real magicians of the modern era and how that power changes the world forever. Adam Blackwell is the most powerful man in the world. But he hasn't always been. Five years ago he was just a humble grad student at Sinclair University. How did he go from a nobody to the world's first modern magician? And once he got that power, what has he done with it? Be advised: this episode contains depictions of drinking and smoking, as well as strong language and discussions of politics. It also contains mentions, though not depictions, of violence, death, war crimes, the Holocaust, and a large-scale disaster. Listener discretion is advised. The Harbingers was created by Gabriel Urbina. Today's episode was written by Gabriel Urbina, directed and sound designed by Jeffrey Nils Gardner, and executive produced by Eleanor Hyde. It featured the voices of Andrés Enriquez as Adam Blackwell, Lauren Grace Thompson as Amy Stirling, Emmy Bean as Claudia Skinner, and Kristen DiMercurio as Erica Pfeiffer. It also featured the voice of Olivia Love-Hatlestad. The original music for the series is by Nicholas Podany, and the original art is by Cassie J. Allen. Recording engineering and dialogue editing by Zhuolin Wu. This is an Audacious Machine production. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • Re: Frankenstein is Crowdfunding
I'm part of a team crowdfunding for an audio drama adaptation of Frankenstein! Find out more (and support our new show) at igg.me/at/refrank. In this trailer you heard Sena Bryer as Victor Frankenstein and Josie D. Sumner as The Monster. Dialogue editing and sound design by Stephen Indrisano. Music by Amber Devereux. Transcript here.  More about Re: Frankenstein: Re: Frankenstein is an audio adaptation of Frankenstein from the team behind Re: Dracula and Re: Carmilla. We had such a great time adapting these two gothic novels and we can’t wait to take on something less vampiric and a little more… monstrous? Or perhaps it’s a little more human. This show will be a faithful, text-accurate adaptation of Mary Shelly's novel, featuring a full cast to tug on your heartstrings and sound design to keep you on the edge of your seat. Featuring a award winning all-trans cast, Re: Frankenstein will bring this Gothic masterpiece to glorious un-life.  Did you love The Magnus Archives, The Silt Verses, Camlann, The Sheridan Tapes, or Midnight Burger? What about Final Fantasy XIV, Zombies Run, or Marvel Move? Voice actors from all these productions are part of Re: Frankenstein! And that’s not to mention our crew, who can be found behind shows like The Bright Sessions, The Tower, ROGUEMAKER, Shelterwood, Inn Between, and Someone Dies In This Elevator.  Each chapter of Frankenstein is an episode of Re: Frankenstein. Content warnings will be present at the top of episodes, where needed.  Re: Frankenstein will be released for free, but those who help us fund the project will get additional perks, including a full audiobook, digital downloads, shout-outs, and more! The cast of Re: Frankenstein will consist entirely of transgender voice actors. We believe that now is the time to lift and celebrate trans voices and artists; to tell stories about monsters and those who get to define them; and to pay everyone involved a fair and equitable wage. Your support will go directly towards our incredible cast and crew.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
