Laura details and shares her thoughts and analysis on the micro timeline, including Murdaugh’s explanation for his sudden burst of activity - of his 283 steps in 4 minutes whilst making many phone calls.

Laura discusses the curious missing calls from Murdaugh’s call log, and how, despite the call records showing his many calls to reach Maggie, his behaviour reveals he consciously avoided going to the kennels to speak with Maggie. Laura also gets into the 4820 data points that tracked Murdaugh’s Suburban that night and how he travelled on dark country roads at 80mph, whilst texting his lawyer friend. The data, when paired with Murdaugh’s behaviour, paint a powerful picture of events on June 7. Join Laura as she breaks it down.

Laura is joined by Dov Freedman, co-founder Curious Films and executive producer of the powerful and disturbing two-part Disney/Hulu documentary Caroline Flack: Search for Truth.  

On 15 February 2020, Love Island presenter and one of Britain’s biggest stars, Caroline Flack was found dead at her home in Stoke Newington, London; in August, a coroner’s inquest recorded a verdict of suicide.

Before her death, Caroline was arrested in 2019 by the Metropolitan Police and later charged for assault.  She became the target of a relentless media storm. Vilified in the press and online, her world spiraled.

Caroline spoke with Dov about making a documentary about what really happened.  The next day she was found dead. Devastated and distressed, Christine, Caroline’s mother, never stopped searching for the truth about her daughter’s final moments, and she agreed to do the documentary of the story Caroline never got to share.

30-year-old Mica Miller, née Francis was found dead from a gunshot wound at Lumber River State Park in Robeson County, North Carolina on April 27, 2024.  Her death occurred just two days after she had served her husband, John Paul Miller, with divorce papers. In December Miller was indicted for cyberstalking and making false statements to federal investigators. He appeared in federal court on January 11 2026. 

In this episode, you’ll hear what happened in court and Laura unravels the newly unsealed federal indictment with award-winning investigative journalist Mandy Matney and award-winning author Liz Farrell, co-hosts of the True Sunlight podcast. Together, they carefully unpack the charges in the indictment, timelines, and alleged behaviours, as well as discussing why this did not happen when Mica was alive.
