Jesters of Ravenloft: A D&D Podcast

Tyler took Yolo and Tony Dumdum aside so the rest could have a frank conversation with Sir Christopher Lee and, after chatting for a bit, they realized they were all on the same side. Christopher Lee had extensive knowledge of the true story, but remembered the real-world slightly differently. Guy’s palantir seemed to wake up in the presence of another orb like it, and the famous actor told them that the dark lord had used the device to communicate with Saruman and twist the wizard to his will. Will
the discovery that the dark lord is none other than George Sauron Martin get the Fellowgroup any closer to defeating him?

The Fellowgroup tied up loose ends before departing for Isengard. GanDelf was advised by Galadriel to try to cure Saruman of his shadow before resorting to fighting, Yolo showed emotional growth as he reflected on how he had treated Frodo, and Guy learned from Arwen that the palantirs were long-range communication devices. They travelled with the Ents to Isengard, and saw signs of heavy industry, but it seemed to be abandoned. When the approached the door of the tower, the wizard Saruman greeted them and revealed that he was Sir Christopher Lee. But will the famed actor be able to help the Fellowgroup restore the fractured story?

The Fellowgroup let Frollum escape! Again! So, they split up to search for him. Now more shadowy than ever, Adam began to give in to his greedy impulses, GanDelf helped Guy find his missing sword and they uncovered a survivor in the rubble, and Tyler patiently explained to Yolo how wrong it was to call anyone who joined them the “New” version of someone they’d lost. Accepting they had lost Frollum, the headed to bed. Tyler grew less shadowy as he donated his mattress to the infirmary and Adam kept his shadow when he got weird about Tony sleeping in his chair. Will GanDelf’s meeting with Galadriel help them on the next step in their journey?

The Fellowgroup tried to come up with a way to reach the Frodo within Frollum. GanDelf failed to commune with her echo of Gandalf and had an unsettling vision of Walker. They all followed Adam’s suggestion to improvise a happy song, and miraculously, the group’s discordant singing brought Frodo back to himself. But it soon became clear that Frodo was still enamoured with the ring. As he slipped back into Gollum, Adam encourage GanDelf to flashbang him as punishment and they gained even more shadow. As they argued about their next move, Frollum escaped. Will they find the slippery hobbit again before he can do more harm?

With the enemies of Rohan scattered into the trees and the Ents at rest for the day, the Fellowgroup was finally able to take somewhat of a break. While Guy and Arwen spent some private quality time together, Tyler was called upon to reassure everyone that everything was okay. GanDelf volunteered Adam to tag team the inspirational speech with Tyler, Yolo butted in with meaningless platitudes, and GanDelf capped it off, but the speech ultimately fell flat. Théoden came to the rescue and wrapped it up by preparing the Rohirrim to travel to Gondor to aide in their fight against evil. But can the Fellowgroup avoid being taken to Isengard first?
