    OFF AIR... EXTRA

    17/07/2026 | 14 mins.
Welcome to a Friday special. Today, we bring you an interview with former prisoner Richard.

Our prisons are full. Our reoffending rates are some of the worst in the western world. Self harm and suicide are rising across the prison estate. The early release of prisoners whose offences still terrify their victims is front page news - what is going right in our jails?

It's a complicated problem to solve - and you may not think that yoga fits into the puzzle. But it can do. The Prison Phoenix trust is a charity that provides yoga and meditation on the prison estate - as well as mentoring schemes where prisoners are put in touch with people to write to on the outside. The aim is to help rehabilitate prisoners so they don't go back inside - and to help in a transition from life in jail.

Richard has benefitted from the programmes offered by The Prison Phoenix Trust. You can find more information here: https://www.theppt.org.uk/

Plus, author Claire Powell joins them to discuss her new book 'All In'.

A cure for the 20 year flaky foot (with Amanda Wakeley)

    15/07/2026 | 52 mins.
Rejoice! Fi's flaky foot is no more. Stay tuned to find out what finally fixed the mystery ailment.

Jane and Fi also also ponder authentic greek yoghurt, what makes a good chicken schnitzel, and what they'll be eating while watching the England men's semi final...is it obvious we recorded just before lunch?

Plus, they're joined by fashion designer Amanda Wakeley OBE to talk about her book 'Style DNA'

Girl-on-girl (radio) action (with Andi Oliver)

    14/07/2026 | 57 mins.
Goodbye Jane and Fi, hello Creepy Gerald and Penelope no Principles. In today's pod, they discuss how Jane would have survived the Victorian era with her bad specs and poor needlework as well as the reasonably sized Cliff Richards hit that Fi somehow missed.

Plus, they hear from award-winning chef TV chef and broadcaster, Andi Oliver, about her recent trip to Malawi with WaterAid.

    Nobbly Bobblys and counterfeit Feasts

    13/07/2026 | 48 mins.
Jane and Fi are reunited after a week of utter tranquility... not. Fi’s been busy swimming with Austrian ducklings and navigating a whirlwind holiday romance with Dave the Seagull. Meanwhile, Jane’s "Bordeaux buttock ache" miraculously cleared up, thanks to a fast-moving news week in Times Towers.
