What’s really behind Harry and Meghan’s shock move back to the UK?

    20/08/2026 | 33 mins.
In Thursday’s episode of The Daily T, Tim Stanley and Poppy Coburn discuss the global reaction to The Telegraph’s exclusive story on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s planned move to the UK with Hannah Furness, the Royal Editor. Amid speculation behind the couple’s motive, they discuss what their imminent arrival will mean for the logistics of their private security, their status within the Royal family and the chances of reconciliation with the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Tim and Poppy also speak to Dai Davies, the former head of the Royal Protection Command, who says it “beggars belief” that the Duke and Duchess are returning to the UK, in light of their recent battle with the Home Office for taxpayer-funded security while in the country.

In Wednesday’s episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley sit down with The Telegraph’s Deputy Royal Editor Victoria Ward to unpack her exclusive story on The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s move back to the UK.

Victoria explains why Harry and Meghan, along with their children Archie and Lilibet, will be making the move to Britain, where else they are expected to be splitting their time, and where the Sussexes will live.

‘Farage didn’t know’: Reform rebel blames Zia Yusuf for suspension

    18/08/2026 | 44 mins.
In Tuesday’s episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley speak to Tim Montgomerie, a high-profile Reform UK supporter, who says he will appeal against the party’s decision to suspend him for criticising Nigel Farage and Zia Yusuf.

The Conservative Home website founder tells Camilla and Tim that if “a political organisation can’t take criticism, it can’t advance”, as he warns of the internal rivalries and structural flaws that he believes could prevent Reform from achieving a majority in a general election.

Mr Montgomerie also claims that Mr Farage, the party leader, was not aware of his suspension, and that he believes his criticism of Mr Yusuf is what led to the party’s decision to suspend him.

Jason Arday: The hard truths we can't ignore

    17/08/2026 | 30 mins.
In Monday’s episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley reflect on the media fallout and institutional hypocrisy surrounding the death of Jason Arday, a former Cambridge professor.
Tim discusses going to confession at the weekend to examine his conscience from covering the story and admitting to at times needing to remember that there is a human behind the story.
Plus, they debate the media’s right to scrutinise public claims, and question the extent of Cambridge University’s responsibility for the way Mr Arday was used as a poster child – only to be abandoned.
