The Story So Far with Carla

Hannah and I found each other on social media a while back, and the more I watched, the more I loved seeing how committed she was to raising awareness of SMA. Yet remaining so present where she's needed most, with her boys. 
In the week prior to this podcast release, Lawson celebrated his first birthday. A milestone that without treatment, he may never have reached. 
It was a pleasure to sit down with Hannah and of course my extra VIP guest Lawson, and I can't wait to continue to watch him grow in the months ahead.

I first came across Lois on Instagram not long after I'd started my own page, she was one of the first content creators I knew of to take on the wedding market, creating @thesocialyouseek and allowing couples to get all those BTS videos from their special day. 
Fast forward a few years, and her business has evolved. After seeing a gap in the market, and with the help of her Dad, together they've opened @thestudioyouseek which provides a space for content creation for businesses too. 
I was very lucky to get to record the first episode in the studio, and of course it had to be with the lovely Lois herself. 
She may be young, but she's focussed with a vision and I can't wait to see how the studio evolves over the next few years.

I recently sat down with the lovely Danielle Polompo to learn about her journey from declaring herself homeless, to hairdressing mentor. 
Danielle shared her very personal story with me, which she has given full permission for me to share. This is of course a cut down version and it goes without saying that she has been on some journey to get to where she is today. 
Therapy, self development and a positive mindset, are some of the tools she's used to help create success and I can't wait to see what's to come for her in the future. 
Danielle's mission is to change some of the attitudes in the hair industry and to encourage fellow hairdressers to know their worth. 
Since being the little girl who was asked, "are you sure that's what you want to do?" Hairdressing has always been her passion, and she's just getting started.

Once again, as a follower looking in from the outside, I had no idea what Sammy went through go get her businesses to where they are today. 
Another example of how you never really know what a person has gone through until you sit down and have a conversation with them. Sammy's made a promise to herself to never be in that position again.

I've known Nicola for many years now, and knew when I wanted to launch my own podcast, I'd be asking her to come on as a guest. Luckily she said yes, and we sat in my garden on possibly the hottest day of summer.
Nicola is a big character, with a big heart. And although her social feeds consist of inspiring and motivational posts, it goes without saying that she's had her own struggles. Even then, she continued to show up for others, before realising change had to happen.
