Episode 19 - Nick Kivlen from Sunflower Bean - Elliott Smith, Figure 8
For episode 19 I'm joined by one of the best guitarists to come out of New York City in a generation, it's Sunflower Bean's Nick Kivlen!Sunflower Bean are a decade into their career and are hot on the campaign trail with their latest (and probably best) album to date, Mortal Prime Time.Nick kindly invited me to record in the bands tour bus before their show at Rough Trade East and we go in on Elliott Smith's fifth album, Figure 8.We also discuss, touring with Diiv, guitar techniques and private British slang. The podcast ends a little abruptly, sorry about that! I lost a load of my notes for a final feature I'd arranged and the bus turned into a bit of an oven so we had to make an escape, haha.If you enjoy Nick on the podcast then make sure to give Sunflower Bean's glorious new album a listen and catch them when they're back on tour in the UK this Autumn.

Episode 18 -Sean Murphy O'Neill from Courting - Frank Ocean, Blonde
Episode 18 of the podcast sees us take on one of THE biggest albums of the the previous decade....Frank Ocean's Blonde was a seismic album with truly incredible levels of depth.Luckily, my guest was more then qualified to talk about it.Sean's band Courting have released 3 genre pushing albums with plenty of Frank influence and their latest (Lust for Life, Or: 'How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story) has deservedly received numerous glowing 5 star reviews. I couldn't have been happier to have him on the podcast. But not just Frank Ocean, we also discuss, the magical sweet spot of 3 pints, Sopranos cameos and how Courting's blue print was always to "chase the sunshine."

Episode 16 - Rob Power - Elvis Costello, My Aim Is True
Episode 16 see's me joined by a man that is capable of the impossible....Rob Power has the capability (power?) to get an acoustic guitar out at a party and NOT make toes curl while a room full of people look at their cans and hope it ends soon. He's been a long serving and suffering friend of mine for nearly 20 years and is by far the most remarkable song writer I've ever come across. This summer he gets to prove me right and will release his debut solo album! So I figured I'd get him on the show to discuss his upcoming release and an album that he literally lent me his copy of, back when people had CDs.We also discuss Elves, The Beatles and why you should always introduce yourself to someone with a good haircut.

This Album.... with William Hann.
The podcast where each episode a guest and I deep dive an album of their choice.
It could be an album from any artist, any genre, any year.
We're going to discuss the songs, the shows, the artwork. But what I really want is to know is the emotional attachment my guest has to the album.
Who knows, we might even have a bloody laugh while doing it!
