    •J.Pyles is a Minister, Worship Leader, Gospel Artist totallycommitted to using his gifts to spread the Gospel.   • Let's Talk: GMG Rev. Charles Nicks, Jr. Tribute
    •Rev. Charles H. Nicks Jr. born in 1941 Lincoln, Nebraska.  Long before anyone even knew Charles Nicks, he was discovered by his family around the age of 2 years old. The family discovered it was young Charles who had gotten to the piano and played the song note for note his grandmother had previously played.  His family had a strong musical influence on him during his formative years.  At the ager of 16 he became the minister of music at his father’s church.•Rev. Nicks accepted the call to ministry in the 1970’s and once ordained he was appointed the Pastor of St. James Baptist Church in Detroit Michigan.  Under Rev. Nicks’ leadership he grew the church membership, started several auxiliaries, formed several youth ministries, a scholarship fund to help youth of the church.  Not only was he an accomplished musician, organist, mentor he had a great personality which drew people from near and far.•Rev. Nicks was a co founder along with Rev. James Cleveland of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMAC).  •Rev.
