66: The Lobster, Colin Farrell’s Triumph of Will, and Lots of Lanthimos
What animal would you get turned into? Joe & Adam ponder The Lobster, Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2015 dry as a bone awkward sci-fi comedy starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz.
Is the film all logic brain and no beating heart? There is much discussion of Lanthimos’ tone, and a great divide over whether Poor Things is good or not.Â
Also: what is the narrative of Farrell’s career, what sound does a lobster make, and what animal is best to get turned into. As well, of course, there’s the usual business of the Box Office Game, and the Forgot You Forgot Picking the Next Film Game.

65: The King's Speech, Oscar Bait & Colin Firth Emerges From a Lake
Joe and Adam delve deep into the big Oscar flick of 2011, the Tomothy Hooper directed royal flick The King's Speech. Starring Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter, the pair chat about how Oscar buzz ruined this film and managed to rediscover the pleasures herein. They also dig into Firth, and laser in on the narrative of his rise to power.Â

64: Harry Potters, Twisters, and What’s Been Watched
In this special episode the MYFYF duo chat about the recent movies they’ve seen - but not before Joe tells a tale about his dad’s bedtime stories.
Also, the co-host reflects on the films he watched on his recuperation journey (all the Harry Potters, obviously), while Adam laments his time with Twisters.Â
Plus plenty more in this not-so special ep that isn’t about movies we forgot we forgot, but just plain old movies.

63: Signs, Faith vs Aliens, and Big Mel
M Night Shyamalan’s hokey but timely (at the time) spooky alien crop circle flick starting Mel Gibsons gets the Forgot You Forgot Treatment - but not before Joe tells his anecdote about Hans Zimmer.
Why was Mel such a big star, what’s up with the Culkins and the Fannings, and why can’t these aliens open doors?

62: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button; the Sci-fi of Old Man Babies, and Films that Span a Life
David Fincher’s 2008 romantic fantasy, starring Brad ‘Bradley’ Pitt and Cate ‘Kate’ Blanchett, gets the Forgot You Forgot treatment. Joe gets swept up in the history of it, while Adam nitpicks the mawkish slog of it all. Also, what are the rules of this thing, and why does Joe love Wikipedia so much.

Welcome to the home of forgotten films. Each week, Joe Devine & Adam Richmond discuss a different film that they’ve seen before, but forgotten existed. They discuss cinema, memory, culture and history - as well as play silly games about cheese, budgets, and re-casting.
Listeners needn’t have seen the film, but are welcome to watch (or re-watch) before episodes for a different perspective. And at the end of each show, Adam & Joe read out forgotten film lists to each other, to find the film that becomes the focus for next week’s episode.
