24/09/2026 | 59 mins. It’s been a week of bombshells for the Royal Family, as the late Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, released a tell-all book commemorating his sister’s life and sharing stories from her time as a member of the Royal Family. Well, at least, that’s what it was meant to be.
The book revealed several shocking claims, the most notable being the suggestion that King Charles, then Prince Charles, was seen to be “giddy” after learning that his then-wife and mother of his two children, Diana, had died in a tragic car crash in Paris.
Many have slammed this claim, including her former butler, Paul Burrell, who on Piers Morgan Uncensored said Charles was in fact completely 'broken' by the news.
Another claim made by Earl Spencer that has since swiftly been proven to be untrue concerned Piers Morgan and his time as editor of the Daily Mirror, when the newspaper published photographs taken with a hidden camera at Diana’s gym, showing her working out in a leotard. Piers has since threatened to sue Spencer over the incorrect claims, with Earl Spencer offering a public apology for making “wrongful assumptions.”
So, joining Jo Elvin, Katie Nicholl and Grant Harrold on today’s Royals Uncensored to unpack all of this and more is royal author and commentator Ingrid Seward, Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror Russell Myers, former PPO to Princess Diana Ken Wharfe, and host of Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, Kinsey Schofield.
