We start as ever with a chat with George and a gardening question, this week about a plant that listens to the flow of water 💦

Tonight we started with rhubarb leaves on our heads, the heat is obviously getting to us, George told us all about his adventures over the last few weeks and about him being brave and conquering his fears. Then he gave us a garden question as ever! This week all about Hummingbird Hawk Moths.

Tonight’s guest is a horticultural consultant who started her career in hospitality and even to the far reaches of Japan teaching kids to ski, then decided to career change in to Horticulture.

Now teaching other people the wonderful subject of horticulture whilst studying to be a master of horticulture herself!

We started the show as always with a question from George this week all about something from your kitchen that will help your tomatoes 🍅

We started a bit late after a bizarre pheasant emergency after one was alive and stuck in my cars front grill.

Tonight’s guest passion is exotics and a jungle style garden. He has created an amazing space that feels extremely jungly using plants are capable of getting through a British winter.

This weeks garden question from George was all about how many seeds a strawberry have on them 🍓

Tonight’s guest hopes to inspire people to discover where their food comes from, and maybe choose a career in Agriculture. She is the host of Second Nature @second_natureuk a podcast celebrating the seasons, farming, gardening and the countryside. She also has a cute sidekick called Willow the Corgi.

So fantastic to talk to Lizzie all about her career in farming and how she has discovered her love for not just farming but growing food.

It was great to also talk about mental health which Lizzie has suffered from and gardening and nature help immeasurably.
