John Buckley joins Dominic Chianese and Dominic Chianese Jr. for a conversation about business, fatherhood, New York, watches, and what happens when the next generation sees an opportunity you do not.John traces his path from working in social services to buying and selling online during the early days of eBay, eventually building a career in the watch business. But one of the biggest changes came through his son. After growing up around the business and developing his own instincts through sneakers, film, podcasting, editing, and social media, John’s son eventually came into the family business and pushed it in a completely new direction.John credits his son’s camera work and understanding of social media with taking the business to another level. In the premiere episode of Dominic & Junior, legendary actor and musician Dominic Chianese sits down with his son Dominic Chianese Jr. for a deeply personal conversation about The Sopranos, James Gandolfini, New York, family, acting, music, loss, and the stories worth preserving.Dominic shares memories of Nancy Marchand, Tony Sirico, Frank Vincent, Vincent Pastore, Jerry Adler, Joseph Siravo, and other members of The Sopranos family.
He also reflects on his relationship with James Gandolfini, describing Jimmy as one of the great actors of his generation and placing him in the same stratosphere as Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, and John Lithgow.
