  • MKB talks sore boobies, breastfeeding, help and so much more with Maria Yasnova (Lactation Consultant)
Hello! Tallulah and Sophie are BACK with an incredible guest, Maria Yasnova. Maria is a lactation consultant, breastfeeding counsellor,  life coach and mother.Maria became a mother for the first time in 2007 in London, away from the support of her extended family. In order to navigate her new found motherhood, she joined a south London mum group, with mothers from all over the world. These mothers would go on to support and coach each others whilst juggling careers. In 2009, Maria began supporting families in their own parenting journeys. For the first 10 years, she focussed on helping mothers feeding their babies and children as both a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor and a lactation consultant. Shortly before the pandemic, Maria became a certified Life Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation. She now continues to support local mothers in their breastfeeding journeys and beyond, through motherhood.Maria is awesome and brings warmth, kindness, patience and advice to the pod, as we talk all things breastfeeding and more! We also really picked her brains with our audience quick fire questions. Scroll down for incredible links, support lines and information that we discuss in the pod. Much love, as always,MKB xxxIG: @mumknowsbestpodcast TikTok: @mumknowsbestpodcast Or message us [email protected] Here are also some helpful links suggested by our wonderful guest:La Leche League Great Britain (LLLGB)www.laleche.org.ukhttps://www.instagram.com/lalecheleague_gb?igsh=dmYxYnY1YXVjNGx0- Maria's favourite website for breastfeeding supportwww.breastfeeding.pro- Maria's contacts for Motherhood Coaching & Support (including Mothers’ Circles and Back to Work Workshops)https://www.instagram.com/mycoaching.london?igsh=MWpneTcxYmd1NXViZA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr- - Maria's IGLocal antenatal and postnatal centres/communities:https://thesunflowercentre.co.ukhttps://www.kinwellbeing.com

  • ADHD Father UK joins us on MKB
Hello! We are back with our next series of episodes for Mum Knows Best! The next few episodes will just be Tallulah and Sophie as Beth takes some time away from the pod. On today's episode, we are so excited to be speaking to Jacob Kelly, aka ADHD Father UK.  Jacob is a neurodiversity coach, ADHD and mental health advocate and a father of two. Almost 6 years on from dealing with his own mental health struggles and postnatal depression, Jacob is in an incredible place with his mental wellbeing and has used his experience and voice to help so many others. Jacob has worked on an NHS mother and baby mental health ward, where he ran a support group for the fathers and partners of mothers admitted to the ward. Currently, he runs a monthly online dad and partners support group for a perinatal mental health charity, as well as his own platform and podcast space,  ADHD Father UK. Jacob is a true force of kindness and we hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did. TW: Postnatal depression, suicidal thoughts. We would like to take this opportunity before you begin our episode content that the following conversation includes postnatal depression and suicidal thoughts. If these are topics that you might find triggering to listen to, we wanted to let you know in advance, so you can make an informed decision as to whether you would like to keep listening. Whilst the outcomes of these personal stories are positive, some listeners may find this delicate or triggering territory. Much love, as always,MKB xxxIG: @mumknowsbestpodcast TikTok: @mumknowsbestpodcast Or message us [email protected]
