Career Confusion, why is this a common theme in motherhood.

    15/06/2026 | 32 mins.
Today I am diving into career confusion. After my DM's were inundated with messages off the back on a social post I put out there about my personal experience with career confusion and how I feel like I am rebuilding my life, I thought this week I would share some information on what contributes to women feeling career confused even more post birth; matrescence, hormones, niching, money, self worth and negativity and share some actionable advice I was given.

    Enjoy

Chaos, mental load, and the thing I've been working on for a very long time

    19/05/2026 | 34 mins.
I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have the mental headspace for a moment to be back here with you recording a podcast for your ears. As much as it is hopefully helpful for you, this is absolute therapy for me and I miss it so much!
This month is the busiest month of the year possible for us as a family and for me with my new business. We have on average 1 birthday a week in May within the wider family and it is all go. Cake baking, celebrations, gift buying along with sports day, half term, bank holidays! How one is meant to actually fit work into all of that, the only way I can make it work is bed time after 2.30am.

This week has also been the busiest business wise, after a year of building, The Visible Load is live.
In this episode I'm sharing everything:
What The Visible Load is and why I built it
Why I think it might be the thing that finally helps with the mental load that never switches off.
Dot, the AI at the heart of the app who checks in with you
Why I built this as a web app so it improves constantly without you having to wait for updates
The honest truth about where the app is right now and where it's going
This is early days and you are part of building it.Plus I share a founding member offer which I want you all to get your hands on first. I share the code in the podcast.

Screen Time, Real Life: What the New Government Guidelines Actually Say

    08/04/2026 | 24 mins.
Screen time is one of those topics that can make any parent feel instantly guilty.

This week Emma breaks down the brand new government guidelines on screen time for under-5s, what they actually say, what the evidence shows, and how screen time really works in her family.

No judgement here, just honest chat and the bits that are actually useful.

Spoiler: not all screen time is equal.

The Overwhelm Toolkit: What's Actually Helping Me Right Now

    30/03/2026 | 40 mins.
Mum Talk is back and this week Emma is getting straight into it. After a few years away, she's back in your ears talking about the thing that's been dominating her world lately, overwhelm. Not the polished version. The real one. The shutting down, the vacant stare, the not being able to be present with your kids even though being present is the whole reason you made the choices you made.
Emma shares her honest toolkit for managing overwhelm right now, from morning movement and grounding practices to magnesium butter, her sleep routine, and the app she's been quietly building to get the invisible load out of her head and onto something she can actually manage.
She also talks about launching a small tech startup while relaunching a podcast, juggling a poorly child, Easter holidays approaching, and the very specific loneliness of struggling in silence while putting your face on for everyone else.
Real, honest, zero fluff. Exactly what Mum Talk has always been.
Next week: screen time, the new guidance, what it actually looks like in Emma's house, and whether any of us are getting it right.
