The Same Way (feat. The Electric Grandmother)
"The Same Way" is the fifth #SONGO of 2023 by Catscan! thecatscanwebsite.com
It features a verse by vocalist Pete Faust of The Electric Grandmother https://www.electricgrandmother.com/

Do you feel the same way?
I feel the same way
Do you feel the same way?
Everybody's older
All the ones we knew
The golden age is over
The golden days are through
Do you feel the same way?
I feel the same way
Do you feel the same way?
Robots write the music
All songs sound the same
YouTube making you sick
Who's the one to blame?
Do you feel the same way?
I feel the same way
Do you feel the same way?
"Back in my day!"
Is what the guys say
As we fade away
But the times we had
Were made more bad again
As we remember them
Check this out
My facing backwards got the kind of dumb
Cuz in reality I was on the run
Though I'd like to think I was having fun
My real days had the stressors on
Cuz I feel just like how the singer does
That the past just shouldn't last because
All the time spent building up til now
Was the real shit that showed you how
Do you feel the same way?
I feel the same way
Do you feel the same way?
That's the real shit that shows you how
Take him outside and punch him now
Kick him in the nards with a baking plow
Do you feel the same way?
I feel the same way
Do you feel the same way?

They Might Be Giants (Vagabond Joy cover)
In the early 1980s, THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS received an unlabeled cassette tape of this mysterious song which they later misattributed to Deep Blue Something (of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" fame). According to John Flansburgh: "You know, when you're in a rock band, you get a lot of interesting tapes in the mail, but this is by far the most interesting one we've ever gotten. Not really, but, it's got our name in it—it's kind of strange." For decades, this mythical song has only barely existed in the form of old fan-made bootleg recordings. Until now.
"I Might Be Giant, Too" is the fourth #SONGO of 2023 by Catscan! thecatscanwebsite.com
UPDATE JUNE 2023: The identity of the original artist of this song was discovered! Read about it on TMBW: https://tmbw.net/wiki/They_Might_Be_Giants_%28Vagabond_Joy%29?fbclid=IwAR1-yg7l0N3XNA9BYjODFTLk6hNCYfp5Dc2olR8rmmevWCReC5S-X6MRKbY

In the days to come
See the ruins rise
While the giants sleep
In the ruined skies
Will the giants come down to earth?
And somewhere under the sun
We will find the days to come
You already kiss a broken sky
They might be giants
This world might go too far
I should be saving the tears
I need an ocean to get to you
I might be giant, too
Poor mother earth
Her pain is deep (She's going to die)
The giants know
Her heart is sweet (She's under a sky)
Who knows how long for her?
And somewhere under the sun
Now it doesn't seem so far
I'm further from your heart
They might be giants
This world might go too far
I should be saving the tears
I need an ocean to get to you
I might be giant, too
I left the light on
I turned the screws
I changed the channel, now
I can't find you
I paint by numbers
I catch disease
I want to be bigger now
So I can be free
I know, I know
They might be giants
I know, I know
What did you find
Inside the grave?
Bones lain with silence
Lost in their place
You search, I close my eyes
And hearts beat under the earth
Every echo ends a tear
You carry summer's last rose in your heart
They might be giants
This world might go too far
I should be saving the tears
I need an ocean to get to you
They might be giants
This world might go too far
I should be saving the tears
I need an ocean to get to you
They might be giants
This world might go too far
I should be saving the tears
I need an ocean to get to you
I might be giant, too

Your Shallow Grave
"Your Shallow Grave" is the third SONGO of 2023 by Catscan! thecatscanwebsite.com
---
In the night
There's a fright
The sound of someone out there
It shakes you
You're found
Beneath the ground
No fight
Or flight
Vibrations growing stronger
He strikes hard
You cave
Your shallow grave
You won't hear him crawl up from behind
Whispering "come join us down here"
