  • Jaguar Skills pt 1
Today’s fascinating episode features DJ, producer and musician, Mathew Carter, who performs and records music under the name Jaguar Skills  As well as putting out hundreds of drum and bass mixtapes through various radio stations, Jaguar Skills, who started his DJ career back in 2002, has released four studio albums. We discuss, amongst other things, the recording of his latest album‘Disco Galactico’ which was released back in May. It’s one of my favourite records of 2024 - a wonderful mix of funk, disco and soul. Perfect soundtrack for any Christmas or New Years eve party We also talk about his love of hip-hop and earliest influences as a DJ  Jaguar Skills is doing a couple of sets at the Warehouse Project in Manchester this weekend as support for The Prodigy. • Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly)
Today’s fascinating episode features Austrian-Canadian electronic musician and producer,  Bill Leeb. Leeb started his musical career with legendary industrial band, Skinny Puppy, going on to form Front Line Assembly in 1986 and new-age ambient act, Delerium a year later. In 1997 Delerium scored a massive, world-wide hit with the track ‘Silence’ taken from their ninth studio album, ‘Karma’, which is one of my all-time favourite electronic albums of the 1990s. We discus his earliest musical memories and move to Canada from Austria at the age of 14, the recent Front Line Assembly tour with musical heroes, Gary Numan and Ministry and the recording of his first ever solo album, ‘Model Kollapse’, which came out  in September.   https://bill-leeb.com Follow Synthetic Dreams on Instagram Title music by Chris Ibbott If you are enjoying the podcast, and like what I do, please support Synthetic Dreams by buying a coffee.
