Winding down from an extremely busy show season, the boys discuss their next big project – a series of buying guides on all the very coolest Land Rover models which will be going live on the LRM YouTube channel over the coming 12 months.
Martin debates which Land Rover model is the ideal family car ahead of his upcoming new arrival – Defender, Discovery, Range Rover – or is a Freelander enough?
The guys also touch on the new Range Rover GT, a brand-new model to the lineup that's decidedly road-biased, and discuss where it actually sits in the stable.

In this week's episode, Martin and Steve are back on the Salmon Sofa at The Big Land Rover Fest. It's hot and sunny, the mics are on and the conversation is flowing.
First up to join the boys are Lord Trousers and Captain Ratty from the "notoriously popular but impossible to join" London Mud Club to chat cigars, stylish clothing and Land Rover-based shenanigans. The guys talk about future adventures and why Land Rover ownership doesn't have to be serious.
Next up on the sofa is Jubilee Lorne, the driving force behind the Larry the Land Rover social media account. From camping out of a 90 with her family to using techniques to get the very best deal when buying a Land Rover to her top festival essentials, Jubilee's enthusiasm is infectious.
Finally, Jonathan East joins the boys on the sofa to talk all things engine conversions and running a Land Rover business on the Isle of Wight. Johnathan explains the importance of the new generation of gearboxes when doing engine conversions to Land Rovers, sourcing donors, Series trucks and more.

In this very special episode, Martin and Steve are in pride of place on the Salmon Sofa on a dauntingly large stage at the inaugural Big Land Rover Fest.
The boys talk the best entry point into Land Rovers, why they truly are the most capable off-roaders available, as proven on the Big Land Rover Fest off-road course.
The guys are joined by Grenadier owner (don't hold it against him) and off-road driving instructor Gareth Jex, whose Lantra training was instrumental in helping build and fine-tune the off-road course. Gareth also chats about the greenlaning tours that he runs with his company, Surrey 4x4 Tours and Training, and the electric EV Spartan 4x4 is capturing the imagination of show-goers.
Next up to the Salmon Sofa is Tim Brown from Dorset Land Rover Club, who is the man behind the recent Tea on the Tailgate revolution. How did it start? Where are things heading? Hear it all from the man himself as he joins Martin and Steve on the LRM Podcast.
Fitter Mat is back next, to talk all about his Range Rover and his ownership journey – from fault code clearing on-the-fly, optional extras and general wafting around.
