- We’ve got the one and only Ron Zaras in the garage! Ron has an extensive background in rally racing in many forms. He’s a driver, has worked on rally race teams, is a huge ambassador of the sport and most importantly, he’s a fan himself. Scotto and Ron do a deep dive into all things rally racing. From the early days to how rally racing developed into an international motorsport, to the current state of rally in the US and where it may be headed in the future. They share some great stories of how they met and bonded over their love of rally racing and spent many years working on rally teams together. They talk about the tremendous influence Ken Block had on the growing popularity of rally racing over the years, how that was a major inspiration for the Gymkhana films and how that led to the development of the iconic Hoonicorn. They discuss their favorite drivers from their favorite eras. They also discuss what is holding rally back in its overall popularity in the US and how showcasing it at the X Games and various Rallycross events was a great start and how Ron’s new rally-focused brand Antilag is playing a part to promote the sport and culture. It’s a great conversation! Enjoy!

podcasts@321actionaction.com Jonny Lieberman on Automotive Blog Origins, Performance EV’s and Why Cadillac is Cool
02/09/2026 | 2h 51 mins. We’re happy to welcome Jonny Lieberman to the garage for this special episode! Jonny and Scotto go way back to their early journalism days and talk about how the birth of the automotive blog helped shape the way the auto industry is covered today. Jonny is a highly acclaimed writer and has worked for many notable publications including Autoblog, Jalopnik and Motor Trend. He has a truly unique perspective on the current state of automotive media and shares some great stories from his career in the industry. Scotto and Jonny also do a deep dive into the state of EV’s in the US, why the market seems to be cooling a bit and what the future may have in store for electric vehicles and their place in car culture. They also discuss how Cadillac is quietly making some great cars that don’t seem to get quite the attention they deserve. They discuss everything from their fondness for overlanding to their takes on performance EV’s and who’s doing them the best. Maybe Porsche..? It’s a great conversation! Enjoy!

podcasts@321actionaction.comAlex Choi on Viral Stunts, Crazy Police Chases, Being a ‘Stringer’ and Regrets
26/08/2026 | 3h 6 mins. This week we’re happy to welcome Alex Choi, making what he tells us is his ‘real’ podcast début whilst also being the youngest guest we’ve ever had on the show. Despite being a hugely well-known streamer and content creator (you may have come across some of his more notorious escapades online), he’s rarely given interviews, until now. Alex tells Scotto about his journey into being a ‘stringer’ and the world of automotive social media that he’s inhabited for a decade, and they get into the challenges along the way: from his complicated youth right up to the present, reconciling all the things he’s seen and believe us – it’s a lot! As for regrets? Well, he’s certainly got a few! Here he is to tell us everything. Enjoy!
CONTENT WARNING: This episode contains macabre themes and graphic detail of the aftermath of road traffic accidents and other incidents that Alex has witnessed in the course of his work. Discretion is advised.

12/08/2026 | 2h 41 mins.“Don’t get it right; just get it running!” - words we could all stand to live by! This week we welcome David Freiburger, colossus of the automotive world who alongside Scotto, forms a mildly senior (sorry.. ‘Authoritative’ ! ) coalition of men yelling at clouds. Though you may know him best from his adventures with Roadkill alongside Mike Finnegan, David’s roots in the car world go back to magazines, with storied career chapters spent at the wheel of multiple titles. Making the jump to video, he put in time at MotorTrend and now, his own YouTube channel. In this hugely wide-ranging conversation, the gents litigate everything from the glory days of heavy metal (Dokken anyone?), to Drag Week and countless records and tales from the drag-strip, even including hearing damage. Crucially though, could David be the guest that finally causes the blind to see and the lame to walk? By which of course I mean poor Scotto, and his unfinished projects – dear Lord, we need a miracle! As ever, enjoy.

05/08/2026 | 1h 40 mins.Back by popular demand, it’s Topic Roulette! Very Vehicular is proud to present returning guests and friends of the pod: Mr Zachary and Vin Anatra to do conversational battle (aka banter and bullsh*t) with Scotto. We know you love ‘em, you’ve asked and we’ve delivered – all the hottest takes in a 94 degree garage with no AC (scandalous working conditions I may add!). Grab a cold one and pull up a chair - Vinnie’s got his ball-peen hammer out and he’s taking requests. Really, don’t ask. Enjoy!
