What was it like chatting about Sunderland with heroes such as Patrick Roberts, Thomas Sorensen and Stefan Schwarz, and what were the interesting stories they have from a year's worth of talking to former SAFC players?

Every chapter is also part of a bigger story. Players arrive on Wearside from different countries, cultures and backgrounds, never quite knowing what they have signed up for. Some become heroes. Some divide opinion. Some are only truly understood years later.
