McMahon was key to Liverpool’s success during the late 1980s, helping the club win three First Division titles (1985–86, 1987–88, 1989–90) and two FA Cups (1986, 1989). Known for his leadership and energy, he famously scored four goals in a single League Cup match against Fulham.
