  • The Star with Jennifer Garner
In episode 18 of TABI's Tarot World, Victoria and Gwen are joined by Jennifer Garner — TABI mentor, Free Reader, and former TABI Chair — to talk about The stunning Star. We start off with a bit of fangirling about TABI and our wealth of Zooms, our training courses, and the Members' Conference — all unique to TABI and free for members. It's a fantastic way to join and keep in touch with your Tarot community no matter where in the world you live, and enjoy the friendship and guidance that comes with truly finding your place. In any Tarot community, you'll find that The Star holds a special place in everyone's heart. Every man and every woman is a star, after all, made up of stardust as we are, so what happens when we draw The Star? What is she showing us? Or bringing us? We look at very different interpretations of the card in several decks, and explore the vast range blessings that she brings — balance and harmony, channelling and manifestation, freedom and generosity, just for starters. You might think it'll be smooth sailing when she appears in a reading, but for such an Airy Aquarian energy, she can be hard to pin down in practical terms... and what happens when drawn in reverse? Jenny and Victoria discuss various options, and Jenny shares her 'invisible neighbours' approach, which gives insight into The Star and any card. We also discuss stones, crystals, runes, fragrances, music, and for plants, Victoria tells us about the lemon-scented, night-blooming Datura — N.B. a *poisonous* plant, so the usual rules apply, and be sure to study it carefully before approaching. You can find Jenny on her website https://guineverefae.com/, on Instagram and Facebook as @guineverefae, and on Bluesky as @guineverefae.com. She is the author of Jenny's Tarot Journal, available from Amazon. Want to find out more about TABI? Visit our website at www.tabi.org.uk Membership is international and only £20 per year. • The Tower with Heather McCabe Jones and Clair Telford
When are you happy to see The Tower? If you're ready to hold your feet to the fire, then join Victoria and Gwen in welcoming guests Clair and Heather to episode 17 of TABI's Tarot World podcast, where we discuss what might be the most visually, viscerally destructive card in the Tarot. It's ruled by Mars after all, and most versions depict a tower being destroyed -- the walls come tumbling down -- so where do those walls come from in the first place? Are they built up around us by others? Or do we create them as we go along in life, only to discover that we've hemmed ourselves in? One thing is for sure: Tower magick is powerful and it is not picky, so if your plan is to slash and burn, be prepared to release everything and run when the flames take. And yet ... there is hope. Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end, and regeneration is the reason for fire season. We share our interpretations of the Marseille, RWS, and Thoth Tarot Tower cards; our personal experiences with it; and Heather offers us a meditation to use with the card that works with both the interior and exterior -- the world around us, and the ego that we've put through the wringer in the last few cards. Here, finally, we see what needs to give. We look at the position of The Tower on the Tree of Life and what that tells us about our life path (surprise! It's about balance), and we consider the Hebrew letters Yod, Shin, and Pei -- that fiery speech that can get us all in so much trouble. We wrap up with reversals, crystals, plants, and fragrances. So tell us in the comments ... when are you happy to see The Tower? You can find Clair on IG as @clair.t.wanders and you can find Heather on IG, Facebook, and Substack as @numinouspressWant to find out more about TABI? • The Devil with Leeza Robertson
What are we all doing down here anyway? Are we here to indulge our senses with wine and song and sexy woodland creatures? Or are we meant to suffer? It might surprise you to hear our guest for episode 16, author, deck creator, and closeted astrologer Leeza Robertson, explain why she thinks The Devil is the most spiritual card in the deck, and how it offers us a uniquely powerful path to joy and liberation. Leeza describes how she illustrates The Devil in four of her decks, each one highlighting a different aspect for us to consider. We chat about Pan and the edges of madness; accepting our physical self as divine; and the narrow line we walk as we navigate our way through society and our mind. We talk addiction and attachment, The Lovers and relationships, and discover that maybe the truly tricky thing is that The Devil doesn't curate our lives — which offers us a freedom that we have to learn how to deal with. The Hebrew letter Ayin gives us some new insights, and we take a deep dive into the Shadow, the ego, and duality of the 'I'. Leeza is the author of Tarot Reversals for Beginners and she gives us some brilliant new tips on how we can read the cards that come out upside-down, explaining why reversals add so much to a reading. We look at stones and crystals, herbs, plants, and scents, and Leeza tells us about her new deck, The Celestial Unicorn Tarot, launching in the US on July 1st and in the UK on August 8th: https://tinyurl.com/3pdhcnmh You can find Leeza on: Her Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@LeezaRobertson/streams Her website: https://www.leezarobertson.com/ Her instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theleezarobertson/ And be sure to check out her Llewellyn author Page, where you can find out about all her books and decks: https://www.llewellyn.com/author.php?author_id=5663 Want to find out more about TABI? • Temperance/Art with Mick Frankel
In episode 15 of TABI's Tarot World, Astrologer, Hebrew scholar, and I Ching practitioner Mick Frankel joins Victoria and Gwen to talk about the alchemical wonder that is Temperance/Art. The Marseille, RWS, and Thoth interpretations all show some kind of exchange, but what's really going on here? And what does it mean in readings, whether practical or spiritual? Mick talks us through all the ingredients: the card's Hebrew letter Samech and how we can work with the Hebrew alphabet and Tarot more generally; the magic of the Divine archer, Sagittarius, and how he lights a Fire under our transformation; the mystery of numbers; and how the I Ching brings in new insights, working via a new system that Mick talks us through. We look at illustrations of Temperance in the Marseille, the RWS, the Thoth, and the InBetween Tarot, and explore the relationship the card might have with her neighbours, starting with Justice, Death, and The Fool. Once we've given all that a good stir, we talk reversals, and then finally put everything together with a look at stones, herbs and flowers, and fragrances. What is the final result of our alchemical journey? You tell us! Mick is the creator of the 'Deck of the Hebrew Letters' and its accompanying workbook. You can find out more and contact Mick on Instagram @mickfrankel and frankelmick @ hotmail.com. Want to find out more about TABI? • The Death card with Helen
In episode 14 of TABI's Tarot World, Victoria and Gwen talk to TABI Free Reader and Mentor Helen about Hollywood's most misrepresented card, Death. Is he the really the bad guy? Maybe he's just misunderstood. The Child of the Great Transformers (not those Transformers) is also, as you'd expect, the Lord of the Gates of Death, but hang on ... Those titles mean this is a liminal space, in between the past we can't return to and the future progress we're not quite ready for. We talk about where and why the fear comes in; and we uncover insights into how we can make it through this no-man's land. Mythological connections guide us on metaphorical journeys through the underworld, and we come to an understanding of the card's ruler, Scorpio, and its five — count em, five — symbols, which together illustrate the cyclical nature of the Death card. We chat about reversed meanings of the card and compare the illustrations on several decks. Flowers, herbs, crystals, and fragrances complete the cycle. You can find Helen on her website Jupiter's Realm https://jupitersrealm.com/ and Jupiter's Realm Tarot and Astrology on YouTube.
