  • #73 We're Back, Baby!
The bras are off and the girls (ahem, Charlotte and Liv)- are back! Just give Charlotte five minutes to remove her contact lenses please...It's the second comeback tour of the decade, and it's like we never left. No stone is left unturned from the last six months; from Charlotte's great rebrand as Corporate Sue, the burden that comes with being featured on Elton John's Instagram stories, a Leslie Bibb bob (try saying that tipsy) and a measly, but dedicated attempt at being a Come What May™️ girlie. With telly talk covering the cross-country Welsh love story of the ages; there's a recipe, strawberry chatter (IN SEASON ALWAYS) and why going to the football for a communal sing-song is an untapped fun day out. As always, we want to hear from you! For the tech savvy, send us your voice notes, bread recipes and song recommendations over to [email protected], and for high quality collages, VIDEOS THIS SERIES (we know!!!) and a lovely carousel (if you’re lucky) of things we chatted about you can have a nosey on our IG too @fringeofit too.Bread book, as mentioned here! • #72 The Joy of Awe, Comparison and 2am Crosswords with Gemma Styles
We told you we wouldn't be gone for long, didn't we! This week is a *very* special bonus episode with none other than podcaster, activist, mental health ambassador and writer Gemma Styles. With today being publication day of her debut book, Why Am I Like This? We pulled Gemma into our virtual living room and made sure we covered everything from coping with comparison and the spotlight effect, managing authenticity online, setting boundaries and why being a human is actually pretty hard (and joyful, and weird and wonderful- naturally, but CRIKEY it's tricky sometimes). In a turn of events, we also enter what can only be described as our Stressful TV Era, Charlotte is caught off guard by the funeral in Four Weddings (...and a Funeral) and we discuss the best frozen sweet pastry out there (nope, t's not a croissant) and being new to Gru (we'll let you decide if that's cool or not)! If you’d like to make some unstressful TV suggestions (all about balance)- you can email us at [email protected]. We’re also over @thefingeofit and @charlottejacklin and @livpurvis and will see you very soon!Gemma's brilliant book is available from today, and you can pick it up here! https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/why-am-i-like-this-gemma-styles/7665116(also, this is brilliant Lucy we mentioned! https://www.instagram.com/lucysheridan/?hl=en) Hosted on Acast. • #71 Our Nora Ephron Inbox and See It, Say It, Compliment It
As Shania Twain once said- looks like we made it! It’s the final episode of the series, and we go out with a big chocolatey bang (without giving anything away… ahem). From car MOT’s resembling Grease (or not), an inbox worthy of a dreamy scene with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks and a very exciting Blue Peter badge hack (for the first time in TOFI history this *could* be a ‘You Heard it Here FIRST')- there’s a lot to get to your teeth into this week, and that’s before we delve into Have I Got Food For You! It’s been a delight of a series, so thank you so much for joining us- you’re all truly the best, and remember- see it, say it, compliment it! It’s only a little back to school holiday we’re taking *but* as always, we love to hear from you (and would love a full ol’ postbag upon our return). If you’d like to send any celebrity cake gossip to us (as well as songs worthy of TikTok dances, good housekeeping hacks and everything in-between)- you can email us at [email protected]. We’re also over @thefingeofit and @charlottejacklin and @livpurvis in the meantime! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

  • #70 Extreme Culture, A One Woman Monologue and A Very Important Dessert
It’s the penultimate episode of series 2, and this week The Fringe of It goes to the Fringe! Taking us on a rollercoaster of culture- it’s a buffet of comedy, crying and cabaret as well as a beautiful one woman monologue about Love is Blind (courtesy of Charlotte, sadly not performed at the Fringe… yet). Charlotte and Liv also delve into pressing matters such as bringing back liquid eyeliner and why women complimenting each other on their outfits is an integral part of serotonin sharing in our society. There’s also pan slammingly good cookies, a dessert we *all* need to be adding to our repertoires and an introduction to hip and fresh new artist… Dua Lipa!! You heard it here first! Or last! If your life has been changed by discovering Dua or you have a bakery worth shouting from the rooftops about, we very much would love to know- please send us your map-pinned pastries over to [email protected], and for high quality collages and a lovely carousel (if you’re lucky) of things we chatted about you can have a nosey on our IG too @fringeofit. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

  • #69 A Love is Blind Deep Dive, and a Very Normal Casual Tennis Lesson with Andy Murray
It’s a late night edition of The Fringe of It this week. And by late night we mean it was recorded at 9pm on Saturday, way past Liv and Charlotte’s bedtimes, resulting in giddiness and the human equivalent of dog zoomies. Liv delves into her mad week which contained: a chic work trip, playing tennis with a certain Wimbledon winner, and a throwback to a childhood phenomenon that she struggled to cope with. Charlotte discusses her recent Vinted haul, the details of which lead to Liv nearly choking on her tea. There’s also a bumper dive into the mailbag to read your lovely correspondence. Stick around for some delicious book recommendations, more info on a listener’s Bridget Jones themed party, and there may even be a spreadsheet of all things Fringe of It*!*Spoiler Alert: there is a spreadsheet, and it’s a thing of beauty!! You can check it out here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xDG2k60LM7b2sGZV-JYF9V4HbhaYSB2bYaMvW8yo6KY/edit?gid=0#gid=0 (Thanks again Louise, you’re a star!)Keep sending your recommendations, thoughts, and everything in between to [email protected], we absolutely love receiving your messages!
