Things That Drive Us Mad About Each Other

    15/10/2026 | 49 mins.
This week Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde Massey turn the studio into a therapy session, with each listing the five things that really annoy them about the other. The rule is that nobody’s allowed to get the hump, though that doesn’t last long.

Cara reveals the noise Nathan makes eating cereal (and oranges), his speed awareness course, the clothes he leaves on the bedroom floor, and the fact that he can’t go five minutes without phoning someone. Nathan hits back about Cara refusing to drive, bad moods that bring the whole house down, and her habit of blaming him for everything, including the airport mix-up that left her stranded at Heathrow without house keys. Things get deeper when Cara tackles Nathan and Fred’s constant clashes and asks when it’s time to pick your battles.

Also, this week: Nathan discovers Lime bikes (Cara has the ick), and the pair debate whether older siblings should be responsible for younger ones, a topic where an eldest child and the baby of the family see things very differently. In the courtroom, a listener has to choose between a friend’s child-free Halloween wedding and taking her daughter trick-or-treating. Cara also explains why she has a personal vendetta against trick-or-treating.

Plus, your comments on taxidermy, the house tour, the 80/20 “would you kick your kids out?” poll, and a podcast bromance.

Team Work Makes The Dream Work

    08/10/2026 | 49 mins.
Teamwork makes the dream work… allegedly. Nathan Massey is nursing a hangover and Cara De La Hoyde Massey has a bone to pick, starting with unanswered texts, a surprise sleepover at a mate's and a £90 Uber from Essex back to Kent. Somehow it all ends with a brilliant family day out in Margate.

Then it's on to this week's topic: how do you actually parent as a team? Nathan and Cara get into good cop vs bad cop, why they never undermine each other in front of the kids (well, almost never), who the kids always run to first, who'd survive longer going solo, and the never-ending battle over PlayStations, iPads and bedtime. In the debate, they confess whether they've ever hidden from their own children, and one of them has turned it into a military operation.

Plus, a special guest: Jordan Banjo, dancer, TV and radio presenter and member of the dance group Diversity, who shot to fame after winning Britain's Got Talent in 2009 alongside his brother Ashley Banjo. Now a dad of three, Jordan talks about the real cost of back to school, how to be resourceful when kids won't stop growing, why after-school clubs matter, and his very honest vasectomy experience.

And in "We Heard From You," your poll results are in: do kids ruin the mood, should you take them out of school for holidays, and should Nathan get the snip?
Presented by Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde Massey.

From Blue to Bedtime Wars with guest Antony Costa

    17/09/2026 | 49 mins.
From singing about girls in Blue to being outnumbered by them at home! This week, Cara and Nathan welcome Antony Costa to the studio — dad to Savannah and Paloma, partner to Rosanna, and now completely outvoted at home by daughters, a wife, and even the family cats. Ant opens up about man-cave surrender, the different flavour of chaos that comes with raising two girls, and the guilt and compromises of trying to give his kids everything while balancing life on tour.
The gang also hashes out a thorny one in The Courtroom — a listener doesn't want her sister-in-law babysitting the kids, but is she protecting her family or just holding a grudge? — plus the usual outrageous listener confessions.
Synopsis: Not In Front Of The Kids
Not In Front Of The Kids is a brutally honest, unhinged, and hilarious podcast that abandons the illusion of perfect parenting. Launched on July 2, 2026, on FUBAR Radio, the show dives headfirst into the loud, sticky, and exhausting reality of raising a family.
    The Hosts
The podcast is hosted by Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde-Massey, who famously met and won series two of Love Island in 2016. Now married with two children and a dog with ADHD, the couple has traded the glitz of reality TV for the trenches of parenthood. They use the show as a space to vent, bicker, and share the genuine chaos of their household without any Instagram filters.
    What to Expect
Not In Front Of The Kids covers all the daily disasters, arguments, and questionable decisions that the parenting manuals leave out. Listeners can expect:
Unfiltered Realities: Candid discussions on everything from the mental load of being the "default parent" to bedtime negotiations, fussy eaters, and the financial drain of family holidays.

The Courtroom: A staple segment where Cara and Nathan tackle major parenting debates — such as strict versus soft parenting, or whether having a pet is the same as having a child — and cast their judgments.

Celebrity Guests: Deep dives with guests who share their own unfiltered stories about relationships, family planning, and the struggles of raising kids.

Listener Confessions: The hosts frequently involve their audience, finding humor in listener stories about the ridiculous things kids do and the moments of pure madness every parent secretly understands.

    Where to Listen
New episodes of Not In Front Of The Kids drop every Thursday at 2:00 PM on fubarradio.com and across all major podcast platforms.
    Antony Costa
Antony Daniel Costa was born on June 23, 1981, in Edgware, Middlesex, and grew up half-Greek Cypriot, half-Jewish, spending part of his childhood in Cyprus and attending the American Academy of Larnaca before returning to England and settling at Hendon School in Barnet, where he first found his footing in drama. Early roles followed on British TV, including a stint on the BBC children's drama Grange Hill.
In 2000, Costa teamed up with friend Duncan James, and together they recruited Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe to form Blue. The group's R&B-tinged pop sound made them one of the biggest UK acts of the era, with their debut single "All Rise" reaching number 4 on the UK charts and further hits — including the number 1 "Too Close" — cementing their status as pop icons. Blue went on to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011.
Beyond the band, Costa pursued a solo career, released a solo single and debut album in 2006, and built a strong presence in musical theatre, taking on the role of Mickey Johnstone in Blood Brothers and touring in Boogie Nights. He's also dipped into reality TV and after-dinner speaking, trading on his "cheeky-chappy" reputation.
Off stage, Costa is a devoted father to Savannah and Paloma, partner to Rosanna, and a fellow long-suffering Tottenham Hotspur fan alongside host Nathan — and he brings his own hard-won, tour-life parenting stories into the Courtroom this week.
