The Traxion Control Sim Racing Podcast

The Traxion team is back from the SimRacing Expo Frankfurt 2026, with John Munro and Thomas Harrison-Lord downloading their (very tired) impressions.

Fresh equipment, new game updates and a slew of developer and manufacturer interviews, it was the biggest and best SimRacing Expo to date.

Here, Assetto Corsa EVO free-roam hands-on impressions, Simucube and Simagic ‘ActivePedals’ (or PedalActives) tested, Fanatec’s return to form and RaceRoom’s latest updates are discussed.

Elsewhere, the Alpine Esports Series has a new home, there’s another Wreckfest 2 update and Gran Turismo 7 is at the engine swap game again. Plus, there are community Expo-related questions answered.

Following its recent update, sim racing title RaceRoom now has the ability to take the platform to a whole new level.

Here, Traxion’s Thomas Harrison-Lord speaks to Jean-François Chardon, Head of Studio for KW Studios, RaceRoom’s creators.

With the outfit claiming that its latest patch is the “biggest for the sim ever”, we investigate why that is, and get the scoop on a confirmed career mode, single-player progression, larger multiplayer grids, improved netcode, a new graphics engine and nighttime racing.

There’s also a frank discussion about RaceRoom Racing Experience’s player numbers, revenue and upcoming content.

It's pandemonium at Traxion HQ as the team prepare for this years SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt. Clearly, it's equally frantic across the whole industry, as game developers and hardware manufacturers line up their latest new content launches, in time for the show.

Amidst the plethora of DLC announcements and social media steering wheel teasers, Playground Games confused us all with a U-Turn on the PS5 release date for Horizon 6. At least we have one now, aligned with the first expansion pack.
