  • Ep 6.37 - Millennium [w/special guest Sven!]
Local pod maestro and known horse sympathizer, Sven joins us once again, this time to talk this wacky time travel romp. Starring the unlikely leads Kris Kristofferson and Cheryl Ladd, Millennium (1989) makes some questionable choices, but we commend its commitment to them. Plus we reluctantly talk about Star Trek. • Ep 6.36 - The Puppet Masters (1994)
Not to be confused with the straight-to-video franchise that began in 1989 (Puppet Master), this film is based on a novel by Robert Heinlein. Starting out as anti-communist cold war propaganda (as Heinlein was want to do), by the time it makes its way to the mid 90's big screen, it's little more than a rehash of the previous 40 years of alien invasion tropes. But it had its moments. DON'T FORGET GAZAhttps://lifeline4gaza.com/gazafunds.comhttps://linktr.ee/thesameerproject+++++Outro: King Diamond performing The Puppet Master

  • Ep 6.35 - The Rook (1994)
We are pleased to be able to talk to you about this little gem staring our boy "the doc" Martin "M.D." Donovan and John "Papa Slaughter" McKay: THE Hartley alumni. Anachronistic technology, theocracy and Wester gothic literature are all part of this murder mystery. Comparisons to Brazil (1985) are obvious but unfortunate. Plus we wrap on the month's offerings.Interview with Eran Palatnik from the 2004 DVDThe Rook HQDo not forget Gazahttps://lifeline4gaza.com/gazafunds.comThe Sameer Project+++++Intro: Professor Ping performing Moebius RipOutro: The Chesterfield Kings performing A King of Hearts

  • Ep 6.34 - Color of Night
This week we are pleased to bring you a film that was a major motivator for starting this here 'cast: Color of Night (1994). A movie that almost killed the director, arguably nearly ruined the career of one of its stars, with a supporting cast way above and beyond any right it has to have, terrific cinematography and a ridiculous premise-- let's just say it has "the sauce". Z knew from a young age that this film would be life-changing...Meanwhile, I won't let you forget about G@za: https://lifeline4gaza.com/gazafunds.comhttps://linktr.ee/thesameerprojecthttps://chuffed.org/project/hope-giving-circle+++++Outro: Darius performing Colourblind

  • Ep 6.33 - Shattered (1991)
The director of Das Boot brings us this psychosexual thriller which is a bit goofy, tighter than it seems and is only passable because of Bob Hoskins. Car kill count: at least 3.---Hey real quick- there is a engineered famine and ongoing genocide that the US is wholeheartedly participating in.
