The story begins when the mean Thorn Fairy casts a spell and steals handsome Beau’s good looks for herself and turns him into a Beast who hides away amongst the Christmas roses in Briar Castle Garden. When Bella goes looking for a Christmas rose to give to her Pops, the mean Thorn Fairy casts another thorny spell and Bella gets stuck with the Beast. The people of Hollyville rally together to try to rescue Bella from the Beast, but to their surprise, Bella doesn’t want to be rescued! Will Bella and Beastly Beau’s friendship bloom? Or will the Thorn Fairy’s magic last forever? Along the way, we meet mischievous wolves, funny garden gnomes and a real-life Gladiator.

The Little Fir Tree wants to be as useful and important as the other trees in the forest and wonders whether she might become a boat or paper for books. One day, she is dug up out of the ground and has an exciting adventure as she becomes a reusable Christmas tree! Musicians from the BBC Philharmonic are joined by Molly Rainford and guest trumpeter Sean Chandler to share a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's famous story.
