The social workers are officially out of our lives. After hundreds of check-ins, forms, visits, and assessments, this chapter of our adoption journey has finally closed. And wow… it feels big. Everyone told us not to travel with a baby... so we went to Japan anyway with a baby haha! From no seatbelts for our little boy on the flight, to a full on poo explosion at the airport, to navigating jet lag and tantrums across the world... this trip was messy, chaotic, hilarious, and unforgettable. And somewhere between the chaos and the quiet moments, Japan did something unexpected. It made us rethink our whole future. Could we really move here?
