#44 Bringing the winning mindset - for medals & motherhood | Chat with Natasha Baker
Ever wondered how Paralympians approach parenthood? How about navigating the world of newborns and toddlers?!
In this episode, we were graced with the presence of Paralympic powerhouse, Natasha Baker (OBE - in case you were wondering!). We had the pleasure of sitting down with her over a good brew, where she gave us all the goss - including...
➡️ How she juggles her athletic ambitions and being mum to Joshua
➡️ Insight into the support team behind her medals
➡️ The Team GB dynamics at the Paris Paralympics 2024 (inc. who they really are behind the scenes!)
➡️ The importance of horse and rider partnerships in para sport - and what we can all learn from that
➡️ Mindset as the ultimate secret to her success
➡️ Her new perspective (and goals) for life after Paris
➡️ The importance of representing disabled individuals in our media - in sport and beyond
Plus so, so much more!
This was such a fun chat for us - meeting one of the UK's most beloved Paralympians, and one of our absolute idols. She is exactly the person you think she is, in real life (& it's fair to say... we fangirled *ahem* quite a bit)!
We hope this episode gives you lots of food for thought, and that it encourages plenty of conversation in your households around mindset, representation the partnership you seek with your own horses.
