From Shame to Sonship (ft. Shahriq Khan)

    18/10/2025 | 54 mins.

In this episode we meet a young ex-Muslim called Shahriq Khan, who grew up in New York to immigrant parents from Pakistan and India.  Shahriq in many ways embodied the American dream, the son of immigrants who achieved great success in education and business. But then he began to question the faith he had been raised in. And his searching led him to Jesus. His story has not been without many trials, including rejection, criticism and pressure from his family and friends to come back to Islam, and a season of partying that led to a period of deep depression and hopelessness. But the Lord’s kindness and grace has drawn him back into great community, where Shahriq testifies to a journey of healing and deliverance, growth and discipleship – and a huge heart to bring the gospel to Muslims and to teach others how to do so. Do check out his Instagram page @realshahriqkhan Or you can find him on Youtube @RealShahriqKhanAnd for training resources and to join the underground community, visit this webpage.Support the show_________________________________________________________________________________Do get in touch if you have any questions for Matt or for any of his [email protected] can find out more about us by visiting www.frontiers.org.ukOr, if you're outside the UK, visit www.frontiers.org (then select from one of our national offices). Guns Under The Bed (Stories of Darfur)

    04/10/2025 | 1h 6 mins.

In this episode we meet Yasmeen, a lady from rural Switzerland who has spent more than twenty years in Africa.  You’ll hear about bold African evangelists forced to dig their own grave for preaching in a certain village, the beginnings of a movement to Christ in Darfur (in the midst of years of horrific violence and civil war), the smuggling of bibles in peanut sacks, and how Yasmeen’s husband was regularly interrogated by the police. This is a powerful story of incarnational love, of unlikely friendships, of Muslims finding the truth about Jesus, of hope for hopeless refugees in Sudan. Support the show_________________________________________________________________________________Do get in touch if you have any questions for Matt or for any of his [email protected] can find out more about us by visiting www.frontiers.org.ukOr, if you're outside the UK, visit www.frontiers.org (then select from one of our national offices). RAW = Radical, Authentic and Worldwide. In this podcast you can hear real-life stories from those taking the Good News across the world to the 1.9 billion Muslims who have little or no access to the gospel. The interviews present authentic stories of joy and frustration from ordinary followers of Jesus, with a radical calling to abandon the security and comforts of home. Catch hold of God’s worldwide heart as you hear how they obeyed Jesus’s command to go to all nations — beyond Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria — to the ends of the earth. To connect with us head to www.frontiers.org.uk or email [email protected] “Missionaries are very human folks, just doing what they are asked. Simply a bunch of nobodies trying to exalt Somebody.” (Jim Elliot) *Please note, many of the locations are unspecified and names have sometimes been changed to protect the identity of the interviewees and their communities.
