    30/04/2026 | 1h

Ben and I had a great conversation, not only about everything Grim Trophies, but he also hosted a podcast called “The Greatest Thing You’ve Never Heard” that we talk about and he’s also a contributor to the Doomcharts, and he gives some of his favorite albums to come out this year. Ben is an ocean of musical knowledge and I had a great conversation with him! It’s also been announced who will be opening this year’s fest, whom I’ll also preview in this episode. So buckle in and enjoy the Gateway to Gravitoyd finale before the big day this Saturday! Tune in & subscribe!

Godzilla Was Too Drunk To Destroy Tokyo

    21/04/2026 | 38 mins.
Today on The Heavy Desert Podcast I welcome Sara de Luca, Alessandro Camurati, and Nicola Viola of the band Godzilla Was Too Drunk To Destroy Tokyo. An Italian heavy-psych/stoner rock trio known for their chaotic energy and fuzz-drenched sound. They were founded in 2022 in Calice Ligure near Genoa, Italy, and blend heavy psych, stoner rock, punk, and 60s-style acid rock into a loud, unhinged, and hypnotic style. We dig into their influences, their creative process, some of their upcoming gigs and much more. Sara even shares a crazy story about a cat, a dog, some stairs and a glass bottle. Make sure to tune in and subscribe!
