As we begin the season of Lent, Rev Richard Carter reflects on the theme of temptation in the wilderness, accompanied by music from St Martin’s Voices.
This service offers moments of stillness, scripture, prayer and music as we journey together towards Easter.

Our service today, for the Sunday before Lent, includes a celebration of Lunar New Year, which this year marks the Year of the Horse - a significant moment for many Christians from a Chinese heritage background.
Rev Mark Nam will reflect on how Lunar New Year offers a meaningful pause to look back on the past year and consider how we prepare for the year ahead. He will connect these themes with our gospel reading, inviting us to reflect on how we discern God’s guidance as we move through different seasons of life.
The service will also include two Everyday Faith segments:
Rev Fung Lau from Trinity Church, Earley will share the impact of their growing Hong Kong ministry
Rev Dave Ho Young will speak about his recent visit with Bishop Arun Arora to the Diocese of Hong Kong Island

A Service for Racial Justice Sunday 2026 | Online Church Service | The Church of England
Join us this week for our service for Racial Justice Sunday from the Diocese of Leeds, with other contributors from around the country.
Racial Justice Sunday is a day when all churches and communities are invited to reflect on the importance of racial justice; to give thanks for the gifts and beauty of human diversity, and to commit to end racism and acts of discrimination. Today’s service focuses on the Biblical mandate to “love your neighbour.”
With contributions from the Bishop of Croydon, Rosemarie Mallett and the Bishop of Kirkstall, Arun Arora who are the co lead Bishops for Racial Justice, the sermon is led by the Bishop of Huddersfield, Smitha Prasadam, and the service is led by Rev Wayne Simmonds along with many other contributors.

Candlemas Service.
Join us today for our service for the feast of Candlemas from St Olave, Hart Street, London
Rev Phillip Dawson explores this point in the church year where our attention turns from Christmas and Epiphany towards Lent - from the crib, to the cross.
He will be joined by members of his congregation as they bless candles, share scripture and prayer from their medieval crypt chapel.
