What if the thing you’ve been praying for isn’t delayed at all? What if God is simply giving it to you little by little because He’s preparing you to carry it?
In Exodus 23:30, God tells the Israelites that He will drive out their enemies “little by little” until they are ready to possess the land. He could have done it all at once, but He knew they weren’t ready for everything at once.
Sometimes God is working on the promise while He’s also working on you.
In this episode I’m talking about trusting God’s timing, recognizing progress even when it feels small, and remembering that little by little is still a win. Your slow season may actually be a season of preparation, growth, and increased capacity for what God has ahead.
The promise takes time. Keep going. God is still moving.

Life is full of changing seasons. Some are beautiful and full of growth, while others bring storms, uncertainty, and challenges we never saw coming. In this episode of The Punch Bowl Diaries, we talked with Pastor Marla Stroup from Healing Place Church about what it means to be truly rooted in Christ and why where you plant your roots matters.
When our roots are anchored in Christ, we can weather the storms of life without being uprooted by every circumstance that comes our way. We may bend, we may struggle, and we may walk through difficult seasons, but deep roots give us something steady to hold onto.
We talk about what it looks like to build a life rooted in faith, how our relationship with Christ carries us through every season, and why the foundation you build today matters when the storms come tomorrow.

What happens when God finally answers the prayer you’ve been praying, opens the door you’ve been waiting on, and then leads you somewhere you didn’t expect?
In Exodus 12:37–39, the Israelites finally leave Egypt after generations of slavery. They know what they’re leaving behind, but they have no idea what comes next. They don’t have a detailed plan, they don’t know where their next provision will come from, and they certainly don’t know everything that awaits them in the wilderness.
But they do know one thing: God brought them out.
In this episode, we take a look at the journey from Exodus 1 through 12, the ten plagues, Passover, and Israel’s dramatic exit from Egypt. More importantly, we talk about what this story teaches us about waiting on God’s timing, walking through the doors He opens, trusting Him when we don’t have the whole plan, and remembering what He has already done.
Hope this encourages you in your current season!
