Mary Magdalene's devotion to Jesus is highlighted in her actions. The removal of the stone from the tomb symbolizes divine intervention. Grief can cloud our vision and understanding of God's work. Recognition and understanding of God's actions can take time. Mary's encounter with Jesus transforms her grief into hope. Jesus calls us by name, making our relationship personal. Mary becomes the first to share the news of the resurrection. Our personal encounters with Jesus compel us to take action. We are called to share hope and truth with those around us. Grief can stem from others' choices or circumstances. Jesus shows us how to surrender and trust God. God's plan unfolds even in impossible situations. Pilate's authority was given by God, showing divine permission. Jesus' obedience is an invitation to trust God. Even in suffering, we can care for others. Jesus' words on the cross signify fulfillment of prophecy. The cross exemplifies God's redemptive plan. Trusting God means surrendering control and timing. Standing Between Faith and Fear: John 18:  Daily Devotional, Daily Bible Study

    29/12/2025 | 33 mins.

Standing Between Faith and Fear: John 18:  Daily Devotional, Daily Bible Study In this episode, Rachael Groll shares honestly from her own journey with fear, courage, and learning to trust Jesus when obedience feels costly. She weaves together her experiences in Kenya with the story of Jesus’ arrest, Peter’s denial, and the tension-filled moments in John’s Gospel where truth confronts darkness. Rachael highlights the authority of Jesus in the middle of betrayal and uncertainty and reminds listeners that following Him will stretch us, challenge us, and ultimately reshape us. Through Scripture and personal reflection, she points to the redemptive power of God’s grace and the steady presence of Jesus for every believer who chooses to step out in faith. ☆Pick up a copy of my latest book:  Knowing God’s Voice  ☆Go Deeper and Learn to Hear God’s Voice: Knowing Jesus Course ☆Get Ad-Free Episodes, Bonus Content, and more here:  patreon.com/HearingJesus ☆To Learn More About Sponsoring a Child, check out Compassion International here: ➤  Sponsor a Child ☆Go on a trip with Rachael: Bible Study Live ☆Have a question for Rachael? If I would not have stepped out in faith, I wouldn't have been a witness. Jesus models this alignment with God's plan, even when he knows he's headed to death. Following Jesus does not exempt us from danger or betrayal. Peter denied being a follower of Jesus three times, showing human instinct to protect oneself. Self-preservation kicks in during moments of fear and pressure. Jesus knew that Peter was going to mess up, but he still chose him. Jesus is the king, not the earthly king, and his authority is evident. The choice of the crowd to demand Barabbas shows the condition of the human heart. You can allow him to defend you instead of trying to defend yourself.
