Kim Johnson is the MP for Liverpool Riverside and also chair of the All -Party Parliamentary Group on Miscarriage of Justice. In this episode IPL interns Maggie McGinnis and CJ Poveromo interview Kim about these roles, alongside her commitment to challenging injustice in the criminal legal system. IPL Director works closely with Kim as co-chair of the Westminster Commission on Joint Enterprise.

In this episode, IPL Director Louise Hewitt is in conversation with four interns from University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. The long -standing partnership between the IPL and UNC Chapel Hill has meant that a number of interns have been able to undertake work for the IPL. This semester, Maggie McGinnis, Leihana Pratt, Tyler Kraus and CJ Poveromo have been working on a number of projects, one of which is a subsequent podcast episode when you will hear them interview Kim Johnson MP.
