Episode 454: Izzeldin Bukhari of Sacred Cuisine - Jerusalem [OLD CITY], Palestine [Part 3]. A Culinary MISSIONARY Preserving Palestinian Food + Culture. Breaking Bread + Peace with The World.
Welcome to another episode of the JUSTIN AND THE [FOOD] ENTREPRENEURS Show, where host Justin Bizzarro dives deep into the world of entrepreneurship in the food industry. In this episode, Justin speaks with returning guest Izzeldin from Sacred Cuisine, who calls in from Old City Jerusalem to share his journey of preserving Palestinian culture through food.
Izzeldin shares his passion for cooking, which was ignited during his years in the United States, and how it led to the creation of Sacred Cuisine, a pop-up kitchen that became a form of culinary storytelling across continents. As political and cultural challenges impact Palestine, Izzeldin uses his platform to voice the struggles and resilience of his people through traditional Palestinian dishes and heartfelt narratives.
The conversation also touches on the broader implications of preserving culture amidst adversity, and the powerful role food plays in connecting people and telling stories that transcend borders. Izzeldin reflects on his international tours, his inspirations, and his relentless mission to keep Palestinian culinary heritage alive, offering both comfort and awareness through every dish he serves.
Join Justin and Izzeldin as they explore the intersection of food, culture, and entrepreneurship, and discover the impact of culinary arts in fostering understanding and unity in a divided world.
