- What's the catch? Is this a trap? Why it took me 6 years to invite him on my podcast...
After 30 years of marriage and building businesses side by side, my husband asked me a question on this podcast that neither of us wrote. An AI did. And I wasn't ready for it...
This is the first time Panos has ever joined me on "Mindset Medicine". We each asked our own AI to write the interview questions based on what it knows about us, and neither of us saw a single question before recording. What came out was the most honest conversation about marriage, business, money, and entrepreneurship we've ever had on the record.
He reveals:
◼ The 3am bank account thoughts nobody sees behind a "successful" business
◼ What it cost him to miss the kids growing up, and the rule he'd follow if he started again
◼ Why our son refuses to become an entrepreneur after watching us
◼ The moment he admitted he was too biased to diagnose his own company, and asked me to do it
◼ His home inspector's rule for using AI without losing your own judgment
◼ And the final AI question neither of us saw coming

🚨🔔 Most people watching aren't subscribed and don't realize it. Take two seconds and check. - My mailman stood on my porch this week and told me he's being "phased out." Not fired — phased out. And this episode is not about mail. It's about the human layer quietly disappearing from work, and the one question almost nobody is asking about AI.
I'm in AI every day — I've written a book on it, I train it on the back end. So this isn't fear, and it isn't hype. It's the deeper conversation: when AI takes the task, what happens to the judgment, care, presence, and reading-the-room that the human was really bringing? And if you've spent 15, 25, 40 years becoming your job — who are you when the job is gone?
In this episode:
• The doorstep conversation I caught on my doorbell camera, and the moment the mailman went silent
• Why "What do you do?" trained us to become our work — and why that's now the danger
• It's not a skills gap. It's an identity gap.
• How never attaching to a job title carried me through heart surgery, emigration, and every reinvention since
The 4 questions to ask yourself before AI forces you to:
1. What part of my work can AI do faster?
2. What part becomes MORE valuable because I'm human?
3. Where have I confused being needed with being valuable?
4. Who am I when the task is removed?

FREQUENTLY ASKED — THE HUMAN LAYER
Q: What is "the human layer"?
A: The human layer is the judgment, intuition, presence, care, context, and ability to read a room that a person brings to their work beyond the measurable task. Coined by author and AI & Business Strategist Katharine Loucaidou, M.Ed., it describes what disappears when humans are removed from automated systems — and what becomes most valuable as AI takes over routine tasks.
Q: Will AI take my job?
A: AI is more likely to replace tasks than people — but people who don't use AI are increasingly being replaced by people who do. The deeper risk isn't only economic; it's an identity gap. If you've spent decades becoming your job, the real question is who you are when the task is removed.
Q: What skills can AI not replace?
A: Judgment, taste, discernment, trust, care, context, empathy, emotional intelligence, lived experience, and reading between the lines. AI can produce, summarize, and imitate — but it produces without judgment and cannot carry your scars, wisdom, or lived experience.
Q: What are the 4 questions to ask about AI and your career?
A: 1) What part of my work can AI do faster than me?
2) What part of my work becomes more valuable because I am human?
3) Where have I confused being needed with being valuable?
4) Who am I when the work is removed?
Q: Where can I hear the full discussion?
A: On the Mindset Medicine podcast episode "AI Isn't Taking Your Job. It's Taking Something Far Worse" by Katharine Loucaidou, available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. - Why do smart people give great advice to everyone else, but make terrible decisions when the problem is their own?
In this episode of Mindset Medicine, Katharine Loucaidou explores Solomon’s Paradox — the idea that we often reason more wisely about other people’s problems than our own.
Through the stories of Steve Jobs, King Solomon, emotional decision-making, and personal reinvention, this episode looks at why intelligence, age, success, and experience do not always protect us from poor judgment when emotions take over.
You’ll learn three practical tools for making better decisions:
The pre-mortem — how to imagine a decision going wrong before you commit.
The outside view — how to look at patterns, evidence, and outcomes instead of staying trapped inside your own emotional version of the story.
The friend test — how to give yourself the same clear advice you would give someone else.
If you are facing a difficult decision in your life, business, career, health, or next chapter, this conversation will help you step back, think more clearly, and see what you may be too close to notice.

QUESTION FOR YOU:
What is one decision you are too close to right now? - Is AI making us smarter or quietly making us stop thinking for ourselves?
In this episode, Katharine Loucaidou explores the AI gold rush, cognitive debt, critical thinking, and why human judgment is becoming more valuable in the age of artificial intelligence.
Some people are running from AI. Others are racing to automate everything. But both may be driven by the same thing: fear.
Katharine breaks down recent research on AI and critical thinking, shares a simple reasoning test that exposes AI’s limits, and explains why the winners of the AI era will not be the people who use AI the fastest. They will be the people who still know how to question it.
For business owners, creators, coaches, consultants, parents, and anyone trying to use AI without losing their voice, judgment, or ability to think clearly.

In this episode of Mindset Medicine, I walk through a live business example and show how one stronger ChatGPT prompt turned into a full 5-email welcome sequence.

If you are a business owner, founder, entrepreneur, executive, coach, or consultant trying to use AI for marketing, email, content, visibility, and growth, this episode will help you think about it differently.
