Are You Taking Care of Your Weight Loss or Yourself?
For so many years I was solely focused on taking care of my weight loss instead of myself. And that makes the years I spent sick make a shit ton of sense. Today I discuss ways in which you may be taking care of your weight loss instead of yourself, where those beliefs could stem from, and what taking care of you may look like. I hope this episode is helpful! Your body is not the problem!

I Denied Being Weighed at the Allergist
*This is not medical advice* At the beginning of this month I went to an allergist and denied being weighed. The allergist was fine with it... However, after I shared a reel on Instagram describing my experience, there were a lot of random men who were pissed. That reel has since been taken down because Instagram continued to push it (300,000 views) to men who were making nasty comments, not just to myself but also to others who had left positive comments. I did share their Instagram handles in the episode because I thought it lightened the episode and was a friendly reminder that these strangers should not get to dictate how we feel about our bodies. But I chose the comments that were less mean and more so just uneducated/diet culturey and that we could have had a conversation about, IF they had been civil in the comment section. With that, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on today's episode! Have you ever wanted to or have denied being weighed at an appointment? Your body is not the problem!

Are You a 'Be Safe' or a 'Have Fun' Kind of Person?
I had the realization over the summer that for most of my life I have been a 'Be safe' person. Which like, there's nothing technically wrong with it but I experienced the difference of being told 'be safe' and 'have fun' about the same activitity and I was like holy shit do the two of those feel different. And I would love to implement saying 'have fun' more than I say 'be safe' to others and to myself. As I continued thinking about the two statements I realized how it can be applied to our body image, and so that's what I share with you today! Can't wait to hear what you think :) Your body is not the problem!
