Tarot with Bonnie and Peter

Spring is the season of fresh starts, new beginnings, and seeds we may not see blooming quite yet. In this episode of Tarot with Bonnie and Peter, we explore how the tarot can help us understand the energy of spring as a time of new beginnings, and also as a season of patience, faith, action, and growth.
We explore tarot cards that carry strong spring energy and the questions they invite us to consider: What is beginning? What needs tending? What beliefs support our growth? And what choices are we being called to make?
Peter shares a three-card spread inspired by the Zodiac cards of the spring season: The Emperor and our relationship with authority, The Hierophant and the codes or beliefs we live by, and The Lovers and the choices that shape our path.
Bonnie introduces a new three-card spread called Seed, Soil, and Sun, created to help you explore what new possibility is being planted, what will help it take root, and what energy will help it grow. Bonnie drew cards from the Gaian Tarot, and we shared our insights revealing themes of awakening, passionate movement, spontaneity, and standing firm in your authentic path.
Spring reminds us that growth doesn’t happen all at once. Sometimes the most important work is hidden and growing beneath the surface.

In this episode, Peter and Bonnie have an honest conversation about reading tarot for yourself—how to make self-readings feel clearer and more supportive, especially when you’re still building confidence.
We explore simple ways to create space and intention before a reading, and we offer encouragement for anyone who hasn’t started yet because they don’t feel “ready.” You don’t need to know every meaning to begin—starting is often how you become familiar with the cards and how you deepen your relationship with them.
We also talk about asking better questions, along with boundaries around asking about other people. A big part of this conversation is about regulation—how to notice when you’re reaching for the cards from a grounded place versus a reactive one.
We get into expectations too: how releasing the need for a specific outcome can make your readings clearer. We also share a few personal practices we love—like leaving cards out for the day to sit with the message, and keeping a deck that’s just for your own readings.
