Well we’ve completed our first series of Soul Story Club after 2 years of talking about it! In this episode we take a look back at our personal highlights from each episode and what really stuck with us from each guest. If you haven’t listened to the whole series this is a great way to get a little insight into each of our guests’ amazing journeys, like fitness influencer Sophie Grace Holmes proving her doctors wrong to climb Mt Kilimanjaro with cystic fibrosis, Love Island’s Scott Thomas completely turning his life around from being a party boy to discovering his true passions in life, and singer-songwriter Christian Burns overcoming mental health issues at the height of his success with band BBMak. We’d love to know what you thought of this series and if you’ve got any questions about anything we’ve talked about. Please get in touch on Instagram @soulstoryclub

  • 7: Dr Rob & Debra Maldonado: How To Free Your Mind And Create The Life You Want
This week’s episode is a little different. Dr Rob and Debra Maldonado are Helen’s coaches and she credits their courses with changing her life. We talk about how by going deeper into your own mind, you can learn to let go of what’s holding you back, and become free to explore endless possibilities in life. We cover topics such as the work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, eastern philosophy and neuroscience. This is one you might need to go back and listen to certain parts for it to fully sink in but we promise it’s worth it! • 6: Richie & Jan Swan: Finding The Positives No Matter What Life Throws At You
Richie and Jan are mother and son who are both so warm and engaging and also incredibly honest about how the death of Jan’s daughter – and Richie’s sister – Anita impacted their lives and the positive changes it forced them to make. Both have been on amazing journeys individually; Jan has lost 10 stone in the last 10 years and when Covid hit and the country went into lockdown, Richie wasn’t sure his PT business would survive. What actually happened is that it flourished online and became something he never could have imagined. This episode is both raw and emotional and absolutely hilarious at the same time. Jan and Richie’s positivity is infectious and if you need something to put a smile on your face, this is the episode for you. You can find Richie’s online fitness platform at www.sortyourfitout.com and follow him on Insta @richie.swan. Jan is also on Insta @just.janswan_ If you enjoyed this podcast we’d love to you leave us a review, and please follow the show so you don’t miss an episode! About Soul Story Club

This is the podcast that highlights the power of sharing a story and how connected we can feel just by opening up about our individual experiences. Hosts Liz Fletcher and Helen Rigby sit down for a cuppa with each guest, and find that even just chatting about what mug they have and why is a great conversation starter. This is a series full of guests who have all been on journeys of transformation in their lives, often bringing them far from where they started. This all stemmed from Helen sharing her cancer journey on Instagram and realising how much the feelings and thoughts she described resonated with people, even if they weren’t facing the same problems. So grab a cuppa and get ready to hear some inspirational, emotional, and sometimes just downright funny stories! If you enjoyed this podcast we’d love to you leave us a review, and please follow the show so you don’t miss an episode!
